We want every member of McLean Bible Church to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. The family of God is one body that spans every generation, ethnic background and life experience. MBC welcomes everyone – from mature disciples looking to be challenged in Bible-based community, to those with no previous religious affiliation.

Becoming a member demonstrates your commitment to Christ and to this church. If MBC is your home and you seek to impact Washington, DC in a mighty way with the message of Jesus, we invite you to join us. We want to help you on your journey to live out God’s plan for you!

Our members also vote on important issues like the election of elders, acceptance of new members and the annual budget. And because we highly value Christ-like character among our leaders, membership is required for some volunteer and teaching positions.

We believe that baptism and financial giving are critical expressions of a relationship with Jesus, but these are not requirements for church membership. We recommend that you attend Front Door prior to attending Membership Class.
