MBC Women Present Anchored in Truth: Abiding in Him. This will be an evening of fellowship and worship followed by a panel discussion featuring Heather Platt, Ashley Kelsey and Rachel Reed. All women are invited and are encouraged to invite your friends! Dinner will be served, and the cost to register by May 8 is $10. The price will increase to $15 after May 8. The Speakers: Heather Platt Heather loves Jesus, her husband of almost 25 years, and her six wonderful (exhausting) children ages 18-2! Her favorite things include spending time with the Lord, reading, exercising, date nights with her husband, David, and watching movies with her family on the couch. At this stage in her life, she has many jobs, including Uber driver for her kids to all their sports practices, teacher, chef, maid, activities coordinator, coach, therapist, and manager of their home's finance department. Despite her many responsibilities, she spends most of her time praying for the Lord's strength and help to follow Him with her whole heart. Rachel Reed Rachel is mom to two energetic littles and wife to Nate. A few things bringing her joy in this season of life are: trying new foods (even her kids are adventurous eaters!), family bike rides, being in Bible study with women, and being outside. Seeing and experiencing God's goodness in the midst of life looking vastly different than expected is the testament of her life and through it all she can say: God is faithful and He is good.
