UPCOMING TOURS

2015 The Footsteps of Paul Tour

April 19 - April 29, 2015

Next to Jesus himself, the Apostle Paul is the most important person in the New Testament. As followers of Christ, we have all read about Paul's missionary journeys in the Book of Acts. We've read the letters Paul wrote to the churches he founded on these journeys in places like Ephesus, Corinth, Philippi, and Thessalonica. We've read about Berea (Acts Il), whose Jewish people "examined the Scriptures everyday to see if what Paul said was true." We know about Paul's speech to the philosophers on Mars Hill in Athens (Acts 17). We've read Paul's letter to the church at Rome and we know about Paul's visit to Rome to stand before Nero (Acts 28) and eventually to be martyred there. On this tour, you will have the opportunity to visit all these places and to see for yourself where these great events in the Bible took place. My hope is that you will return from this tour with (1) a deep understanding of Paul's life and ministry; and (2) a profound confidence in the trustworthiness of the Bible, because you'll visit for yourself all these places the New Testament tells us about--and you'll see that archaeology has found them to be exactly like the Bible says they were.

PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL CONTINUE TO TAKE NEW REGISTRATIONS FOR THE FOOTSTEPS OF PAUL TOUR UNTIL THE END OF MARCH, 2015 OR UNTIL THE TOUR IS FULL (WHICHEVER COMES FIRST).

SPACES ARE STILL AVAILABLE!! CALL (703) 280-1114.

Following The Footsteps of Moses - A Deluxe Tour of Egypt

SAVE THE DATES!!

February 28 - March 11, 2016

This tour is a re-tracing of the life and ministry of the great man of God, Moses, as narrated in the Book of Exodus. We will supplement this biblical data with information about Moses from the famous historian Josephus as recorded in his The Antiquities of the Jews. We have put together an exciting biblically-centered itinerary. We'll see (1) the place where tradition says Moses was found as a baby by Pharaoh's daughter; (2) the vicinity in the far south of Egypt where Josephus tells us that Moses, as a young Egyptian general, defeated the army of Nubia; (3) the actual mummy of Amenhotep II, the pharaoh who refused to let Israel go; (4) the dream stele of Thutmosis IV (located between the front paws of the Sphinx), which provides us with astounding confirmation of the 10th Plague that Moses brought on Egypt by the power of God; (5) a plethora of archaeological artifacts in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, which come from the time of Moses and which elucidate and confirm the biblical record of the Book of Exodus; and much, much more!

As always, Lon will be sharing biblical messages at each of these sites, explaining the importance of the events that occurred there and then challenging us to apply these biblical truths to our lives.

In addition, we will have the chance to experience the greatest wonders of Egypt. These include the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, the Temples of Abu Simbel, the tomb of King Tut, and the incredible Valley of the Kings and Queens at Luxor. We'll also get to see the famous treasures of King Tut as well as hundreds of other archaeological treasures at the world famous Egyptian Antiquities Museum in Cairo. Add to this a fabulous 4-day deluxe and leisurely cruise of the Nile between Aswan and Luxor, stopping at places of historical and biblical interest along the way, and we have a tour that no one will ever forget--and that will change our Bible reading forever!

As a bonus, we will leaving and returning to Dulles Airport!

We have a hard ceiling on the number of guests we can take on this tour, which will make it one of the smaller and more intimate tours we have conducted in the last 6 years. We are accepting pre-registrations for our usual deposit of $750, so call us at 703-280-1114 if you would like to pre-register and reserve a spot.

We will be sending out the brochure for this tour, and posting it here on the MBC website, in late summer 2015, so save the date now!
