What is Turkey Outreach?

Turkey Outreach is an annual outreach of McLean Bible Church and Frontline that provides Thanksgiving dinners to thousands of needy families across the Washington, DC metro area in order to foster ongoing, Gospel-centered relationships with families in need. Through offerings and in-kind donations, we are able to assemble thousands of “turkey boxes” that include all the elements of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner – from a frozen turkey to veggies, dessert and more! Volunteers meet together at our Tysons Campus to assemble the boxes, which are then distributed by our church campuses to our partner organizations and families in the local communities surrounding campuses.

City Impact distribution service
For visitors who will be picking up a box for their own family, registration for this service will be held from 8-9 am.  You MUST check-in by 9 am to recieve a box at the end of the service.  The service will last from 9-10:30 am.  Children are welcome.  A children's program will be held during the service.  Boxes will be distributed in an orderly manner after the service.

Take A Turkey to a Friend
For MBC members and attendees who pre-registered to pick up at Take A Turkey box to take to a friend, the following are pickup time and locations.  Please reference your confirmation email for the location you chose during pre-registration.
A limited number of additional Take-A-Turkey boxes will be available at each location for MBC members to take to a friend in need.
1. MBC Tysons, MBC Tysons, 8925 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA - 10 - 11:30 am
2. MBC Loudon, 44180 Riverside Parkway, Lansdowne, VA - 1:30 pm
3. MBC Prince William, 10002 Battleview Parkway Manassas, VA - 12:00 pm
4. Montgomery County: Takoma Park Middle School, 7611 Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring, MD 20910 - 1- 3 pm

If you are not able to pick up the Take A Turkey box you pre-registered for and a friend can pick it up for you, you MUST forward the confirmation email you received to that friend and indicate in the email that you give them permission to pick up your Take A Turkey box.  They will need to print the email and bring it with them.  The box will remain under the name of the person who registered for the Take A Turkey box.

Boxing Brigade
The boxing brigade will be held at the MBC Tysons campus, 8925 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA.
Please arrive by 7:45 am and park on the upper level of the parking garage.
