2015 The Footsteps of Paul

April 19 - April 29, 2015

Next to Jesus himself, the Apostle Paul is the most important person in the New Testament. As followers of Christ, we have all read about Paul's missionary journeys in the Book of Acts. We've read the letters Paul wrote to the churches he founded on these journeys in places like Ephesus, Corinth, Philippi, and Thessalonica. We've read about Berea (Acts Il), whose Jewish people "examined the Scriptures everyday to see if what Paul said was true." We know about Paul's speech to the philosophers on Mars Hill in Athens (Acts 17). We've read Paul's letter to the church at Rome and we know about Paul's visit to Rome to stand before Nero (Acts 28) and eventually to be martyred there. On this tour, you will have the opportunity to visit all these places and to see for yourself where these great events in the Bible took place. My hope is that you will return from this tour with (1) a deep understanding of Paul's life and ministry; and (2) a profound confidence in the trustworthiness of the Bible, because you'll visit for yourself all these places the New Testament tells us about--and you'll see that archaeology has found them to be exactly like the Bible says they were.
