Ethiopia 2019 Team Update #4

July 24, 2019

By

Tuesday, July 23

Most of our teams went to the orphanages today along with local churches to spend time with the children, play with them, and for many, reconnect, pray together, and continue conversations that had begun earlier in the week. One of the girls from Ketchene who had been injured earlier in the week, miraculously arrived at another orphanage today where she reconnected with an MBC team member who had been praying for her, and she was able to get medical treatment right away from a visiting doctor on site.

The Medical Team was at the Juvenile Detention Center to treat the kids there with love and care. One particular Ethiopian doctor and nurse team had spiritual conversations with each of the kids they saw.  One boy (13 ½ yrs old) was serving a several year sentence, because in a quarrel with a friend, he threw a rock and killed his friend.  The doctor talked with him at length and through tears the boy heard, perhaps for the first time, about the love of Jesus and the forgiveness He offers.
