1. God, You are our Father.
We pray for orphaned and vulnerable children here in the US and around the world who have no family permanency. Lord we pray that You would draw Your Church to pursue adoption, that families and government authorities would work quickly, and with integrity, to place these children into forever families. We pray that we, as Your Church would wrap around adoptive families to uplift, support, and encourage them in their call to adoption. // PSALM 68:4-6
2. Lord, You are our Advocate.
We pray for vulnerable children who find themselves without a voice, that you would embolden your Church to speak up and act on their behalf. Lord we pray they would hear and receive the hope of the gospel, that they would trust in You, and that the Church would wrap around them to provide for their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. // PROVERBS 31:8-10
3. Lord, You are our Strength.
Today we pray for adoptive and foster families who are struggling. Lord, we pray that You would bring support and community to wrap around them as they pursue healing and attachment within their families. Grant us wisdom to love and serve them well, provide the resources they need to accomplish Your good works. // ISAIAH 49:1-5
4. Father, You are our Redeemer.
Today we pray for families who are broken—for children who find themselves in temporary living situations through foster care. We pray that You would help them and their birth families find stability and soften their hearts to the gospel. Lord, we pray for peace and courage in the midst of the unknowns, and for Your mighty grace to bring reconciliation to Yourself, and within their families. // PSALM 111
5. God, You are the Rescuer.
We pray for church leaders around the world who are leading their communities to care for orphans and vulnerablechildren. We pray for the power of the gospel to go forth in bringing greater life-change in these communities to break the cycle of poverty, neglect, and abuse. // ISAIAH 43:1-3A
6. Lord, You are the holy Creator of life.
Today, we pray for Your hand of protection on vulnerable children You are still knitting together in the womb. Regardless of wantedness, health status, gender, etc., we pray that Your truth would resound in the lives of their mothers and fathers, that their lives and the life of their unborn child is known, planned, and has purpose. // PSALM 139:15-16
7. Father, You are Good.
When we feel the weight of sin and brokenness in the world around us, help us to fix our eyes on You. Remind us of Your steadfast love, and that You are always working for Your glory and our good. We ask You to strengthen pastors, church leaders, families, social welfare workers, adoptive and foster families, advocates, and government officials who are on the front lines of defending life, that You would equip them and display Your power and glory through their work. // PSALM 86:5-7
