Food & Resource Pantry

"Jesus said to them, 'I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.'" John 6:35

We aim to use the MBC Food & Resource Pantry to satiate spiritual hunger with the Gospel and battle physical hunger in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

Over 1,000,000 people don't know where their next meal will come from in the DMV. As the Church body, we wish to intentionally respond to this need by providing the necessary resources, thereby creating many opportunities for saved lived and rescued hearts. By establishing relationships with social workers, fire stations, police departments and many other pipelines, we are able to detect and meet the needs of the disadvantaged in our region.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE:

Call/Prayer Team**-- Do you love to encourage and pray with others or do you want to grow in your confidence to pray? Make calls to families in need to indicate how to best support them while encouraging them of the hope of the gospel them  Spanish-speaking is a huge plus* (Daily opportunity)

Community Advocates**- Deliver food and other items to families in the DMV as a gateway to share the gospel and invite them into a Christ-centered community. For example if you live in Reston, we can notify you when there is a family in need in that area, pick up the items at the Tysons campus ( or Sunday at church) and deliver it within the next few days (Daily)
