Living Life “On HIS Course”

By Michael DiCarlo

On HIS Course was inspired by Wally Armstrong and Jim Sheard’s book called In His Grip – a short text relating Christianity to the game of golf. Originally, On HIS Course consisted of weekly meetings at the church that over time became monthly golf outings at Reston National in season. Today each outing starts with a nine hole “captains choice” round and concludes with gospel message and dinner after the round of golf.  On His Course is open to golfers of all abilities, and provides mentoring help for new members to learn the nuances of golf etiquette.  On His Course is a great way to introduce friends, roommates, co-workers or anyone to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in a very open and fun environment.  The game of golf and the Christian life have so many things in common, and using golf is an easy way to illustrate those similarities on and off the course.
