The MBC Justice Ministry is an IJM-inspired ministry that focuses on anti-trafficking and child exploitation issues locally and in select countries. Our areas of focus include: Prevention, Decreasing Demand, Creative Messaging, Serving Local Kids-at-Risk, and International.
There are several ways to get involved:
The prevention team works to equip students, youth workers and educators to recognize the signs and understand the motives and tactics of traffickers. Training is provided to all prevention trainers.
Human Trafficking is a demand driven industry, with tentacles reaching in many directions. This team focuses on addressing the issue at its source.
The Justice Ministry has developed several platforms to creatively communicate the reality of trafficking and illustrate its devastating impact on lives in the DC area and in various countries.
Spend time with at-risk youth, on group outings with other MBCers. These outings provide the youth with a chance to have an adventure, gain cultural exposure, and spend a light-hearted day experiencing some of the best that DC has to offer. Training is provided.
On the international front, The Justice Ministry a) provides strategic input on anti-trafficking international ministry initiatives; and b) in conjunction with MBC Global impact is developing opportunities for trafficking-focused teams to serve in specific countries.
