MOPS at Loudoun

Mothers of Preschoolers

MOPS is a place to find friendship, community, resources, and support for you as a woman and a mother, whether you work or stay at home or do a little of both. MOPS is for all moms from pregnancy until your last child is out of Kindergarten. MOPS believes that no mom should be alone and that a MOPS group can help build critical relationships and provide necessary support.

Last year our MOPS group was comprised of about 45 vibrant women. Some are working moms and some are stay-at-home moms. All moms of preschoolers are welcome to join us.

If you have elementary age children (grades K-5), please check out MOMSnext.

All of these groups exist to encourage and equip mothers in every stage of mothering.  Each group is chartered through MOPS International and sponsored by McLean Bible Church at Loudoun.

What Does a MOPS Meeting Look Like?

Our meetings start with a time of socializing and refreshments. Most meetings will then feature a speaker on a topic relevant to us as moms, women, or wives. Each table of 8-10 women spend time discussing what we’ve heard and learned. Some meetings will feature an activity while others may be a service project or just time to have some fun together.

Joining More Than One or both MOPS and MOMSnext

If you plan to join multiple groups within the "MOPS family" (i.e., both MOPS and MOMSnext) this year at the MBC Loudoun campus (or any other church), then you are eligible to receive a discount on the additional group(s) joined.* If this applies to you, please contact us at mbclmops@gmail.com to receive your promo code to use during registration. The discount is only applied to the second group(s) joined.

*Since MOPS and MOMSnext are all under the umbrella of MOPS International, a portion of all registration fees are sent directly to MOPS International as membership dues. This amount is only paid once to the MOPS International organization no matter how many groups you join.

How Do I Join?

Online registration for the 2016-17 year will open in the summer. In the past, registration has been $75 for a full year. The fee helps cover the cost of your membership with MOPS International, as well as speakers, activities, and more!

Included in your membership is a welcome kit that includes an annual subscription to "Hello, Dearest" magazine, a "Fierce Flourishing Guidebook," an adorable print to add beauty to your space, and a few surprises!
