Volunteer Training and Resources

STEP 1:

Volunteer Application

Please keep in mind that the online form times out in 15 minutes. Some information you'll want to have handy before you begin are two personal references with phone number and email contact plus any past addresses in last two years you may have.

STEP 3:

Background Check

Please know that McLean Bible Church does background check ALL adult volunteers serving in NextGen ministries to minors, including Awana, Kid's Quest, Rock and Access. Once you complete your Volunteer Application you will receive an email from Human Resources at MBC to submit your information. Please keep an eye out for this email; be sure to check your spam and junk folders. The background check takes just a few minutes to submit. You will be asked for your Social Security number, previous addresses, and to verify your identity through an email response. Each person must have a unique email address. Family members may not share an email address.

Background checks to serve in MBC ministries are good for 3 years. After that point, they need to be resubmitted.

STEP 4:

Fingerprinting

At McLean Bible Church it is our ongoing desire to create and maintain a safe environment for our children and volunteers.  To volunteer in NextGen ministries, you must be fingerprinted.  MBC has contracted with Fieldprint to complete this process. This is a quick process, and once completed the check is valid for all McLean Bible ministries.   All volunteers must be fingerprinted through Fieldprint, even if you have been fingerprinted previously for other jobs or volunteer positions.  Once your background check has cleared, you will be asked to make an appointment at a Fieldprint site that is convenient to you.

Please print out and follow the instructions:

Waiver agreement Bring the waiver to Kids Quest Volunteer Central next to the MBC Café or to the store at the Awana office on the second floor

(2 Timothy 2:15).
