Culture of Discipleship
A disciple is a follower of Jesus Christ who lives in biblical community and is committed to becoming more like Him. The early church was full of disciples who lived a lifestyle of evangelism. And they had a huge impact on the course of history for Christ. We want to make that kind of difference for Washington, DC, and we’re doing it by building a culture of discipleship.
The question we want everyone to answer is: who is spiritually pouring into you, and who are you spiritually pouring into?
We want to turn Washington, DC upside down with the message of Jesus Christ. To accomplish this and fulfill our mission as a church, we need to create a culture of discipleship and evangelism at McLean Bible Church, where every person is a disciple who routinely shares their faith.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, [even] to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20
Imagine the impact we could have on this city and surrounding communities if thousands of followers of Christ were inspired to share the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ on a daily basis!
