For His Glory

End-of-Year Giving

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the Glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:36

For the last two months, our church family has been studying attributes of God's character and reflecting on the glory that is due Him alone. He is so worthy of our adoration, time, gifts and resources. We believe that giving is an act of worship. People don’t give to a church, a building, or a ministry program – but to the Lord Jesus Himself. Giving is a response to the realization that we are simply stewards of what God has entrusted to us.

As part of the Christmas season, we are challenging everyone in our congregation to partner with us to advance the gospel in Greater Washington and around the world by giving generously like never before, so that He is glorified all the more!

We invite you to give in a way that represents your love for the Lord, a gift that demonstrates that you are putting Him first in your life and giving him all the glory as we celebrate Christ's birth.

1. Pray about what gift the Lord is asking you to give FOR HIS GLORY
2. Make your gift in the offering at any of our December services or online
3. Share your story at facebook.com/mcleanbible

Thank you for your generosity and commitment to the Lord as we seek to advance the gospel in Greater Washington and beyond!

Stewardship Integrity

McLean Bible Church is committed to financial stewardship.  Our financial controls ensure financial integrity and accountability.  Some of these controls include:

  • Detailed segregation of duties within the Finance department
  • An assigned Elder signs almost all disbursement checks after doing a thorough review of all associated backup supporting the disbursement. The Executive Pastor of Operations has authority to sign checks under $100, and monthly recurring checks such as the electric and gas utility bills or emergency checks which are subsequently reviewed by an assigned Elder. No other staff have check signing authority.
  • Cash is handled with extreme care, and there are always multiple people present when counting cash.
  • The annual budget process requires multiple levels of approval. First, the annual budget is carefully prepared and scrutinized by our staff leadership. The Board of Elders then reviews and approves the budget and sends it the Congregation for approval. In the December Congregational Meeting, the annual budget is voted upon by our members.
  • An external audit is conducted annually to ensure that all financial practices are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
