Interim Executive Pastor of Discipleship and Shepherding
While I'm originally a native of Washington State, I graduated from Penn State University in 2007 with a degree in Music Education. After teaching public school for a year, I moved to DC to serve on staff at MBC and have been here ever since. As a seminary student at Dallas Theological, I have an ever-increasing desire to see our people fall even more in love with the Lord through the study of His Word. I'm amazed that I have the opportunity, along with our discipleship team and many instructors, to help others grow in being disciples of Jesus through our classroom environments. I'm married to my best friend Rachel, who also serves on staff at the Arlington Campus.
Nathan Crew is the Pastor of Young Adults at MBC Tysons. Originally from central Ohio, Ben spent his childhood as an Air Force brat. His father’s Air Force assignments took Ben to Germany (where he was born), then to Idaho, Nevada, Spain, and Alabama. Ben and his older twin brothers, who also had careers in music, were always singing in church, since before they can even remember. Ben continued his involvement in music throughout high school and eventually went to Liberty University, where he traveled on a ministry team called “Light” that focused on Cross Cultural Ministries. With Light, Ben was able to travel to the Philippines, Hawaii, and several times to India. While at Liberty, he studied Religion, with a concentration in Youth Ministries. After graduation, Ben continued to pursue his passion for music and cross cultural ministry while traveling with World Help- based out of Forest, Virginia - where he was able to travel all over the U.S. raising money for the purpose of printing and distributing bibles as well as building churches in India. He then went to Jacksonville, FL and served as the Worship Leader at East Point Church, where he met his beautiful wife, Janie. In November of 2004 the Lord called Ben and Janie here to McLean Bible Church. Ben is passionate about leading people in corporate worship and counts it an absolute joy to celebrate the Gospel with McLean Bible church each weekend.
