John and Pam Gaither
In 1974, Pam came to Christ through a random survey by Cru staff the first day of her junior year at Virginia Tech. Evangelism, discipleship and new adventures in ministry have been her heartbeat ever since.
In 1988, John was a bar band keyboardist in Arlington, Texas whose heart for following Jesus had been made new. Before long, he had a vision of live music as a bridge to the gospel.
After marrying in May '93, God led them to Keynote, Cru's creative arts division. After many years touring with a number of bands, God led John to follow his passion for film. Upon their departure from the road, Pam found her new niche as the ministry's "token left brain." Together they produced four student films, three narrative shorts and several videos.
In 2014, the Gaithers joined the Film Production Team at Jesus Film Project where John now serves as production designer, art director and screenwriter. Pam continues to bring form and structure to each new project and initiative. The team is tasked with telling visual stories to engage the urban, media-sophisticated people of the world in conversation that leads to Jesus. “That’s why I tell stories: to create readiness, to nudge the people toward receptive insight.” Matthew 13:13, The Message
"Thanks for considering a recurring financial gift or special contribution that allows us to follow in Jesus' storytelling footsteps!"
