Every other Sunday, the Covenant House Ministry visits the Covenant House DC Crisis Center where men and women between the ages of 18-21 live. These men and women are homeless and are seeking shelter at the Crisis Center. Our purpose is to encourage the young adults living at the Covenant House DC Crisis Center by sharing God's promise of salvation through his son Jesus Christ. It is completely voluntary for the men and women to participate, and many are eager to do so. Some of the youth are Christians, while others have different faiths and beliefs.
Our time with the young men and women may include playing basketball, football, or other activities outside, playing games indoors, or just chatting. We end our time there with male and female group devotions led by one of the volunteers.
We meet at the Cosi in Rosslyn (1801 N Lynn St, Arlington, VA) and carpool to the Covenant House Crisis Center in Southeast DC.
